We here at The Triangle Offense first learned about Seventh Woods last week when his highlight tape started making the rounds on the internet and various social media outlets. Naturally, we wanted to hear and see more and we started scouring the interwebs, looking for more information about this kid. Here is what we were able to find:

He is currently the 5th ranked prospect in the Freshman class nationally(2016), while being the #1 player in his class in the state of South Carolina. This past season playing varsity ball for the Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC), Woods led the team in scoring, assists, steals & blocks. He averaged 14.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.3 apg, 4.5 spg & 1.4 bpg. Woods has flourished on the AAU circuit as well. He’s been a force with the 17U SC Ravens, and this spring he will be running with the Karolina Diamonds. He’s also been invited to the Fab Frosh All-American Camp this summer. What Does all this mean? Will he keep progressing and become truly elite once his peers get their “grown man body & skills”? Does he have the basketball IQ to become a truly elite PG at the next level? Lets hope so, because I want to keep seeing these eye popping highlights!!!!

Scout’s Notes(Via Rivals):

Woods is a dynamic play maker and an exceptional athlete.  He is the entire package.  Seventh Woods has good ball skills and can score in bunches.  His best attribute might be his abilities in transition when he is attacking the rim.  Woods is a highlight reel waiting to happen — and he might be the top player in the country.
